AIR works with law enforcement to assist communities with limited resources to pursue animal cruelty and neglect cases. AIR helps communities understand the current animal welfare laws, assists law enforcement in building criminal cases against abusers, provides volunteers to staff and run emergency sheltering while animals are in custody and works with placement partners to get the animals into safe, reputable rescue organizations.
AIR has certified emergency response volunteers who can function under ICS, national and state protocols in dealing with natural disaster relief. AIR provides communities with volunteers and equipment to emergency shelter. They also provide veterinarian care and network displaced animals in the community to reunite individuals with their lost animals.
